LU:ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग के दौरान सैकड़ों छात्रों को समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ा।

: बीए, बीएससी, बीकॉम और अन्य यूजी पाठ्यक्रमों के कई स्नातक उम्मीदवारों को रविवार को लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय की ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग के दौरान अपने विषय और कॉलेज की पसंद करने के लिए संघर्ष करना पड़ा क्योंकि प्रवेश वेबसाइट गड़बड़ियों के कारण अनुत्तरदायी रही।
कई प्रयासों के बाद भी, उम्मीदवार च्वाइस फिलिंग शुल्क का भुगतान नहीं कर सके और न ही विकल्प लॉक करने के लिए आगे बढ़ सके। ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग के दौरान सैकड़ों उम्मीदवारों को समस्याओं का सामना करना पड़ा। काउंसलिंग के लिए 4,000 से अधिक सीटें खुली थीं और परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने वाले सभी उम्मीदवार विकल्पों को लॉक करने के लिए पात्र थे। इससे हजारों उम्मीदवार प्रभावित हुए। बीए, बीएससी (जीव विज्ञान) और बीएससी (गणित) के लिए ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग विंडो सुबह 10 बजे खोली गई। बीबीए, बीजेएमसी, बीएससी (कृषि), बीईएलईडी, एलएलबी (एकीकृत), बीवीओसी, बीसीए, बीएफए/बीवीए, बीकॉम और बीकॉम (ऑनर्स) के उम्मीदवारों के लिए काउंसलिंग 22 सितंबर से शुरू हुई थी और रविवार को विकल्प चुनने की आखिरी तारीख थी। .

लगभग सभी यूजी पाठ्यक्रमों के कई उम्मीदवार विश्वविद्यालय के प्रवेश पोर्टल पर अपनी साख दर्ज करने के बाद ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग के दूसरे चरण को पार नहीं कर सके। विषय और कॉलेज की पसंद भरने के लिए एक उम्मीदवार को ऑनलाइन काउंसलिंग के दौरान सात चरणों को पूरा करना होता है।
पहले चरण में, एक उम्मीदवार को बैंक और योग्यता विवरण जमा करना होता है, उसके बाद दूसरे चरण में 700 रुपये की काउंसलिंग फीस जमा करनी होती है, जब उम्मीदवार को दस्तावेज अपलोड करने की अनुमति दी जाती है, कॉलेज की पसंद को भरने के लिए, प्रमुख विषयों का चयन करने के बाद नाबालिग को एक यूजी पाठ्यक्रम में विषय उसके बाद अंतिम सबमिशन स्वीकार किया जाता है।

मैं च्वाइस फिलिंग को पूरा करने के लिए सुबह 10 बजे से कंप्यूटर के सामने बैठा लेकिन देर शाम तक कई कोशिशों के बाद भी मैं प्रक्रिया पूरी नहीं कर सका। बीए के एक उम्मीदवार संतोष कुमार यादव ने कहा, ‘आपके अनुरोध को संसाधित करते समय एक त्रुटि हुई’ का संदेश चमकता रहा।
बीएससी (जीव विज्ञान) की उम्मीदवार आस्था सिंह ने कहा, “जब कई प्रयासों के बाद भी मैं विषय विकल्प नहीं भर सकी तो मैंने एलयू प्रवेश हेल्प डेस्क को फोन किया और बताया गया कि सर्वर की समस्या है और मुझे कोशिश करते रहना चाहिए।” एलयू के प्रवक्ता दुर्गेश श्रीवास्तव ने कहा, “हम इस मुद्दे को देखेंगे, सर्वर की भीड़ गड़बड़ के कारणों में से एक हो सकती है।”

Tech glitch mars counselling for Lucknow University’s undergrad courses

: A number of undergraduate candidates of BA, BSc, BCom and other UG courses struggled to lock their subject and college choices during Lucknow University’s online counselling on Sunday as the admission website remained unresponsive due to glitches.
Even after multiple attempts, candidates could not pay the choice filling fees nor could proceed to lock choices. Hundreds of candidates faced issues during the online counselling. Over 4,000 seats were open for counselling and all the candidates who qualified the test were eligible for locking the choices. Thus, thousands of candidates were affected. The online counselling window for BA, BSc (Biology) and BSc( Mathematics) was opened at 10am. For candidates of BBA, BJMC, BSc (Agriculture), BElEd, LLB (Integrated), BVoc, BCA, BFA/BVA, BCom and BCom (Honours), the counselling had begun on September 22 and Sunday was the last date to lock choices.

A number of candidates of almost all the UG courses couldn’t even cross the second step of the online counselling after logging in at the University’s admission portal entering their credentials. A candidate has to complete seven steps during the online counselling for the choice filling of subject and college.
In the first step, a candidate has to submit bank and qualification details thereafter in the second step counselling fees of Rs 700 has to be submitted only after it a candidate is allowed to upload documents, to fill college choice, select major subjects then the minor subject in a UG course thereafter final submission is accepted.

I sat in front of the computer from 10am to complete the choice filling but even after multiple attempts till late evening I could not complete the process. The message of ‘An error occurred while processing your request’ kept on flashing,” said a BA candidate Santosh Kumar Yadav.
“When after multiple attempts I could not fill in the subject choices I called up LU admission help desk and was informed that there is a server issue and I should keep on trying,” said a BSc (Biology) candidate Astha Singh. LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said, “We will look into the issue, server rush might be one of the reasons behind the glitch.”
