Lucknow University administration has given great relief to its students during the Covid-19 transition period. According to the instructions of the government, the university administration has decided that only UG-PG final semester, final year offline examination in annual & Semester system will be conducted in LU and affiliated colleges. Students of other semester and year will be promoted. The university administration has issued its detailed guidelines on Thursday. The exam schedule will also be released on Friday.
In view of the Covid-19 transition period, the government had issued detailed instructions regarding the examination in the past. In this sequence, the university had constituted a committee of all the deans, on whose report the decision regarding examination and promotion was taken. Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai said that except UG-PG final semester and final year, it has been decided to promote other students.
About 70 to 80 thousand students will get the benefit of promotion, the offline examination of the final will be based on multiple choice questions, the questions will be from the entire course, but half the questions will have to be done. They will get more options, on the instructions of the government, papers of different courses have also been merged. On this basis, some courses will be of one hour, some two and some three hours, its detailed information is also available on the university’s website. The exam will start in mid-July (Target to end by mid-August).
This will be the formula of promotion
In view of Covid 19, the first semester of undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma etc. will be promoted to the second semester on the basis of internal assessment marks in December 2020. Controller of Examinations Prof. AM Saxena has asked all the heads of departments and principals of colleges to upload the marks of internal assessment on the portal on priority basis. If any student has not been able to give the first semester internal examination due to any reason (due to covid 19), then upload the marks by getting their exam re-examined.
Promotion will be done on the basis of internal assessment
The students of second semester June 2021 of undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses etc. will be promoted to third semester on the basis of internal assessment on second semester June 2021. All the Heads and Principals have been directed to get the internal assessment examinations done online and upload the marks on the portal on priority basis. Graduate Examination (Semester System) Fourth Semester June-2021 The students of the students of the third semester will get their marks based on the marks obtained in the fourth semester. The results of the semester will be prepared and promoted to the fifth semester, so the internal assessment examination of the fourth semester will be done online and offline and uploaded on the portal through the heads and principals.
