LU के छात्रों ने पाठ्यक्रम शुल्क में कटौती करने का आग्रह किया

लखनऊ विश्वविद्यालय के एक छात्र ने एलयू अधिकारियों से पाठ्यक्रम शुल्क कम करने और छात्रों द्वारा उपयोग नहीं की जा रही सुविधाओं के लिए शुल्क नहीं लेने की अपील की है. एमए (सामाजिक कार्य) की शिवांगी त्रिवेदी ने ट्विटर पर अपलोड किए गए 50 सेकेंड के वीडियो में अपील की है।

उन्होंने कहा कि कोविड के कारण कई परिवारों की आर्थिक स्थिति बुरी तरह प्रभावित हुई है और लोग काफी तनाव में हैं। इसलिए, यह न केवल छात्र हित में बल्कि समाज के हित में भी था कि एलयू फीस कम करे।
छात्रा के वीडियो को 50 से अधिक बार रीट्वीट किया गया और कई छात्रों का समर्थन मिला जिन्होंने उसकी मांगों को दोहराया।

विश्वविद्यालय बिजली आपूर्ति और अन्य रखरखाव सेवाओं जैसे विविध खर्चों पर बचत कर रहा है। हम प्रयोगशालाओं, पुस्तकालय और खेल सुविधाओं का भी उपयोग नहीं कर रहे हैं। हमें उनके लिए भुगतान क्यों करना चाहिए, ”शिवांगी ने टीओआई को बताया। ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन और अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद भी शिवांगी के समर्थन में आए।
बीकॉम के छात्र अरिहंत शेखर ने कहा, “एलयू को राम मनोहर लोहिया नेशनल लॉ यूनिवर्सिटी से सीखना चाहिए, जिसने उपयोगिता शुल्क के लिए शुल्क में 17,000 रुपये की कटौती की है।” एलयू के प्रवक्ता दुर्गेश श्रीवास्तव ने कहा, “हम पहले से ही छात्रों से बहुत कम शुल्क ले रहे हैं।”

Students urge Lucknow University to trim course fees

: A student of Lucknow University has appealed to LU authorities to reduce the course fee and not charge fee for facilities not being used by students. Shivangi Trivedi of MA (social work) has made the appeal in a 50-second video uploaded on Twitter.

She said that due to Covid, the financial condition of a number of families was poorly affected and people were under great stress. Hence, it was not only in student interest but also in the interest of society that LU should reduce fees.
The student’s video was retweeted over 50 times and got support from several students who reiterated her demands.

The university is saving on miscellaneous expenses like power supply and other maintenance services. We are also not using laboratories, library and sports facilities. Why should we pay for them,” Shivangi told TOI. All India Students’ Association and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also came in support of Shivangi.
“LU should learn from Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University which has slashed fee by Rs17,000 for utility charges,” said BCom student Arihant Shekhar. LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said,“We are already charging very low fee from students.”
